In Romans 10, the Apostle Paul articulates that there is a direct relationship between the depth of our gratitude—that God’s grace in Christ was made known to us—and how far this Good News will be carried by ‘beautiful feet.’

Those overwhelmed by the access to Jesus we’ve been granted, will overflow in the power of the Holy Spirit, to reach those yet to hear. This has always been and, we’re praying, will continue to be the dynamic pulsing through The Alliance.

Tim oversees the worldwide missionary outreach of the C&MA of the United States. Six other leaders serve with him at the U.S. National Office with five regional leadership couples and 42 field directors/team leaders providing leadership to C&MA international teams where there are resident C&MA workers.

Prior to becoming the vice president for International Ministries, Tim and his wife, Shelly, served as Alliance international workers in Russia from 1995-2009, and were involved in theological education, youth ministry, evangelism, and church planting. For seven of those years, Tim was the field director for the Alliance there. In 2009, he completed a D.Min. degree from Gordon-Conwell Seminary. That same year, he and Shelly began to explore opportunities for new Alliance ministries in other former Soviet states. When the Alliance created the new North and Central Asia Region to provide leadership and coordination for work in this part of the world, Tim and Shelly were appointed the regional leadership couple. They supervised 75 international workers serving in 6 countries and worked with national church leaders in each of those nations.

Tim’s heart is to see International Ministries propel Alliance people and churches toward meaningful contribution to the completion of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. Much of this comes as Alliance people are equipped, deployed, and supported for the type of longer-term life and ministry among host peoples that has been an Alliance hallmark, and that has proven effective for making disciples and planting reproducing, missional churches. Also, growing collaboration of our global staff and people in our U.S. congregations, in various creative forms and configurations, is an increasingly vital part of maximizing our effectiveness as a U.S. Alliance family.

Tim and Shelly reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They have four children—Anna, Joshua, David, and Michael.
