Sunday, May 13

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray that our churches would have the Father’s heart for lost people. Pray that your church would catch a vision for reaching out into your community with the love of Christ.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray for our president, Dr. Gary Benedict, his leadership team and the Board of Directors. Pray that they would be men and women who seek God in everything, men and women who hunger after God. Pray that they would be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray for all our missionaries serving around the globe. Pray for a fresh passion for the calling on their lives. Pray for open doors to ministry in the countries they serve.

Monday, May 14

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray that those who come to your church would live lives that glorify Jesus Christ. Pray for an attitude of repentance, a desire for holiness, a determination to live for the Kingdom and not for themselves.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray that our leadership would have Christ’s heart in bringing unity to the diversity (both theological and ethnic) within our denomination. Pray that they would be effective in supporting churches to become kingdom movement churches.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray for those who are in creative access countries. Pray that they would not be lonely and discouraged working in the hard places of the world. Pray for protection and safety as they seek to share the gospel and establish a church in these places where there are none.

Tuesday, May 15

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray against a spirit of religion that is prevalent in many churches today. This spirit keeps people resistant to change, believing past forms are the only godly methods of “doing church.” A spirit of religion puts a choke hold on congregations, keeping them from seeing and walking in the vision God has for them. Pray that local church leaders would listen to God’s voice and not to the voices that come from family blocks and political power blocks in their church.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray for the division of church ministries and our district superintendents. Pray for wisdom and direction to be given to them as they seek to encourage and challenge local churches to break out of the stagnant situations so many are in. Pray that our DSes would be respected by the pastors under their charge, and would be able to minister effectively to them.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray that Great Commission Fund giving would increase. Pray for an abundance, rather than a shortfall, so that we can move forward in greater and greater ways to fulfill the purposes God is calling us to. Pray for wisdom in how to allocate GCF funds most effectively.

Wednesday, May 16

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray that a fresh wind of the Spirit of God would blow through our churches—through your church. Pray that we would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to minister to our communities.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray for our annual Council happening next week. Pray that pastors and leaders would be refreshed, renewed, and reinvigorated to fulfill the call God has on their lives. Pray for power and clarity for the speakers. Pray for a spirit of unity to be present there.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray for the International Ministries national office leadership team and our regional directors. Pray that they would clearly hear God’s agenda for the new territories He is calling the Alliance to move into. Pray that they would effectively encourage and challenge our missionaries in the difficult situations they face each day.

Thursday, May 17

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray that our churches would catch the vision to plant churches. Pray for an openness among church elders and boards to take risks for God and consider planting a new church.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray for our colleges and retirement centers. Pray that our colleges would nurture and disciple a generation of pastors and missionaries who would be on fire for Jesus Christ, and who would be used of God as catalysts for revival in our denomination. Pray that those in our retirement centers would become prayer warriors, who have a passion for praying for revival. Pray that our retired pastors and missionaries would feel honored, respected, and loved by those who care for them.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray that our churches would once again catch a vision for the Great Commission and God’s heart for the nations. Pray that we would see an increase in missions praying, giving, and in young people being called into full time service.

Friday, May 18

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray for unity in our churches. Pray that our people would put aside pettiness and selfishness and would truly desire God’s Kingdom to flourish in their church. Pray that God would unite our people to pray. That with one mind, we would be empowered to pray passionately for Christ’s Glory in our church, community and around the world.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray for unity, vision, and passion for national office staff and district office staffs around the country. Pray that each worker would see the value of what he or she does for the Kingdom in working—often for low pay—as servants for our denomination. Pray that they would be blessed with an increase of hunger for the presence of God in their lives.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray for unity between missionaries on the field; between missionaries and national churches; between the national churches in the Alliance World Fellowship. Pray that more national churches in the AWF would become sending churches. Pray that all members in the AWF would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to complete the Great Commission and Bring Back the King!

Saturday, May 19

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray for new leaders to rise up in our churches. Pray that they would be men and women completely surrendered to Christ and passionate for His presence in their lives. Pray that the old guard in churches would welcome and encourage new leadership and fresh vision that comes with it.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray that our leaders would have quality times alone with God. Pray for rich devotional lives and a desire to “get away” and spend time with God. Pray that they would feel the importance of taking this time away form busy schedules.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray for CAMA services and the important ministry that it does for the Kingdom. Pray that funds and personal would be available at a moment’s notice when it needs to move into new regions following natural disasters. Pray that souls would be saved around the globe as a result of CAMA’s “sharing a cup of water” with those in need.

Sunday, May 20

Be Glorified… in Our Churches
Pray for a renewed hunger for the deeper life—the Christ life, the filling of the Holy Spirit—would rise up in our people and churches.

Be Glorified… in Denominational Leadership
Pray for Apostolic gifts to flow among our leadership. Pray that our districts, churches, and people would honor and respect the authority God has placed over them.

Be Glorified… in Worldwide Missions
Pray that worldwide events would be used mightily of God to further His kingdom. Pray that the wars, difficult circumstances, and political unrest that is occurring throughout our world would open the door to the spread of the Gospel. Pray that our mission force—and those of other denominations and ministries—would be ready to move into new territories.
