We have assembled a faculty like none other for the General Council 2011. Each of these gifted individuals will bring a message of hope or inspiration designed to inspire you in your journey with Christ.

Keynote Speakers

  • John StumboJohn Stumbo

    Rev. John Stumbo has served in various Alliance ministries since 1981 beginning as a youth pastor, senior pastor and vice president for Advancement at the U.S. C&MA national office. He served as the Lead Pastor at Salem Alliance Church in Oregon from 2002–2009 when he was suddenly struck with an unknown disease. John currently serves as interim senior pastor at Fox Island (Washington) Alliance Church. John and his wife Joanna are proud parents of three children.


  • Fred HartleyFred Hartley, III

    Rev. Hartley is Lead Pastor of Lilburn Alliance Church and a Christian leader in Metro Atlanta where he and his wife Sherry have served since 1988. He also is the founder and President of the College of Prayer International with 52 campuses and almost 20,000 students worldwide. Fred has authored 15 books including Lord, Teach Us To Pray, Everything By Prayer and 3 Things Kids Need the Most. He loves riding his motorcycle, running and a very mediocre game of golf.


  • Kelvin WalkerKelvin Walker

    The son of a Baptist pastor, Rev. Kelvin Walker has served with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 23 years. He has pastored in Girard, Pennsylvania, Virginia Beach, Virginia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is entering his 5th year as the campus pastor for Nyack College. He and Doni Vargas-Walker, his wife of 21 years, are the proud parents of three handsome sons and three gorgeous daughters.

  • Michael CardMichael Card

    In a career that spans more than 25 years, Michael Card has recorded 23 albums, authored or co-authored 19 books, hosted a radio program, and written for a wide range of magazines. Whether it’s through his writing, concerts, teaching or his radio program, the core of what binds these seemingly diverse endeavors together is biblical community. It is at the heart of everything Michael Card does.

Seminar Speakers

  • Gracia BurnhamGracia Burnham

    For 17 years, Gracia and her husband, Martin, served with New Tribes Mission in the Philippines, where Martin was a jungle pilot. While celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary, the Burnhams were kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf, a militant group of Muslims. After more than a year in captivity, Martin was killed during a firefight between the Philippine military and his captors. Gracia was wounded but freed. Since that time she has authored two books, In The Presence Of My Enemies, and To Fly Again. Gracia resides in Rose Hill, Kansas.

  • Derwin GrayDerwin Gray

    Former NFL player, Rev. Derwin “Dewey” Gray (also known as The Evangelism Linebacker) is the Lead Pastor of a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, mission-shaped community called Transformation Church (C&MA) in Indian Land, South Carolina. He also serves as the President of One Heart at a Time Ministries. As a highly sought-after national communicator, he has shared the Gospel of Grace throughout America and abroad, with a contagious and inspiring passion. Derwin and his wife Vicky have two children and live in Charlotte, NC.

  • Donald LichiDonald Lichi

    Dr. Donald A. Lichi is a licensed psychologist at EMERGE Ministries, Inc.; a Christian Mental Health center in Akron, Ohio. He serves as Vice-President and is on the Clinical Leadership Team and President's Advisory Council. He has spoken at numerous conferences and workshops on Pastoral health, Christian education, parenting, marriage, and family issues and has published several articles on Christian mental health.

  • Paul KingPaul King

    Dr. Paul King is an ordained minister with The Christian and Missionary Alliance and the author of eight books including, Nuggets of Genuine Gold: Simpson, Tozer, Jaffray and Other Christian and Missionary Alliance Leaders on Experiencing the Spirit-Empowered Life. He is Associate Professor of Theology at Oral Roberts University and Faculty Coordinator for the Bible Institute Diploma/Certificate Programs. Paul and his wife Kathy live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and have two grown children.

  • Ronald MorrisonRonald Morrison

    Rev. Ronald Morrison is the senior pastor of the church he planted in 1995, Hope Alliance Bible Church in Maple Heights, OH. He was a member of the C&MA Board of Directors from 2001 to 2009, and served as chairman from 2005 to 2009. He and his wife Anita frequently speak together at marriage retreats and Bible conferences. Ron is a fan of coaching, having been coached and now being a coach.

  • Debi StackDebi Stack

    Mrs. Debi Stack is an award-winning author, professional speaker and media guest who offers humorous insight for women on the topics of stress, over-commitment and perfectionism. Her newest endeavor is a ministry partnership with Bible teacher Fawn Brents. Together, they present the high-impact women’s event called Keep a Smile On your Faith. Debi and her husband Neal live in the Kansas City area with their son, daughter and grandchild.

  • Eric SwansonEric Swanson

    Dr. Eric Swanson served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 25 years before joining the staff of Leadership Network where he currently works as a missional leadership specialist, serving as Leadership Community Director for Externally Focused Churches, Missional Renaissance and Global Connection Churches. With a D.Min. in Transformational Leadership in the Global City, Eric engages churches worldwide toward spiritual and societal transformation. He and his wife Liz have three married children and live near Boulder, CO.

  • David ThompsonDavid Thompson

    Dr. David Thompson, a medical doctor, and his wife Becki, a nurse, arrived in Gabon, West Africa in 1977 to a small, dilapidated dispensary. Today the Bongolo Hospital is a 130-bed facility that provides a wide variety of medical services to poor and middle class patients, including a newly established HIV/AIDS clinic. As well as running the hospital, David serves on the C&MA Board of Directors, as Gabon Field Director, and Director of the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS). David and Becki have three grown children.
