converge prayer time

As a missions leader in the local church, you wake up every day fighting for a Kingdom that is contested by the evil one. That’s why this year our theme is…

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood… (Eph. 6:12).

January 13–17, 2019, Colorado Springs, Colorado

This world is in a spiritual battle and you have been given the vital role of raising up Kingdom warriors who are passionate about becoming world-changers.

Missions leader, the world is desperate and waiting for you to do your job well.

Yet how do you get your church into the fight? How do you make your church a threat to the enemy? How do you find the passion to fight the battle each day?

Every January, pastors, missions leaders, and outreach staff from Alliance churches of 300 or more people gather to share stories, experiences, ideas, and strategies for local and global outreach. The ultimate goal of Converge is to raise the level of passion for Alliance missions engagement in the greater U.S. Alliance church family. Join us at Converge 2019 where you will be inspired, refreshed, and equipped for a renewed calling to be the leader God has positioned you to be.

What to Expect

Throughout this three-day conference, you will enjoy thought-provoking seminars led by insightful speakers, along with table discussions, breakout sessions, prayer, communion, and fellowship. You will also be given an afternoon to explore some of the beautiful attractions in the Colorado Springs area and opportunities to meet with National Office staff who are available to answer your questions on a variety of topics. Most importantly, you will have opportunity to connect with other church leaders to share local and global outreach challenges, strategies, and success stories. You will be encouraged to learn how God is working through Alliance churches just like yours.

Former 2018 Converge participants report that they have developed strategic relationships with Alliance leaders working through similar challenges and seized fresh, creative opportunities to mobilize their congregations toward greater missions engagement.

97% of survey respondents said Converge met or exceeded their expectations.

91% said they would likely come back again.

In their own words

  • I have been to scores of government and professional conferences in my career. Never have I seen one so well organized and presented. Keep up the good work! I so appreciate your loving and dutiful service to our Lord.
  • It was my first time to attend. I definitely could sense the Lord's pleasure and am encouraged by the passion of the next generation of workers.
  • Converge is such a great way to get a finger on the pulse of what is going on and how things are done. That motivates me to return again. The connections and opportunities to pray and engage with others is such a benefit.
  • I was privileged to take part. What an awesome honor to see and hear about what God is doing around the world!
  • A great time of sharing, learning, encouraging and being filled! I realized we all need these times to be better at what God has called us to do. The National Office staff was very encouraging, John Stumbo in particular.
  • I am always encouraged and blessed when I attend. Each year I seem to deepen relationships and start some new ones. Love it.
