Too many of our Alliance churches are plateaued or declining. Their leaders need to be encouraged and equipped to pave the way for turnaround that results in people in their communities coming to know Jesus. Dr. Thom Rainer will speak from his experience and share practical principles for leading church revitalization. Thom is president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources. He has authored more than two dozen books, including I Am a Church Member. His most recent book, Scrappy Church: God’s Not Done Yet, was released in October 2018. He also runs “Rainer on Leadership”—one of the highest-rated Christian leadership podcasts.

Track 3: Establishing a Church Multiplication DNA led by Rev. Matt Hannan

One of the most effective ways to win and disciple people for Christ is by planting new churches. This session will inspire church leaders to consider planting other churches and present practical steps to prepare for multiplication. Matt is the senior pastor at New Heights Church in Portland, Oregon, a multisite congregation. Their mission is to “make more and better disciples of Jesus” by bringing help, hope, and home to a hurting world through Him.
