For over 120 years Alliance people have been committed to the centrality and sufficiency of Jesus Christ. His sacrifice and mercy shown to all is the model we follow in order to complete his Great Commission. He has called each and every one of us to follow him wherever he leads. So what does following Jesus look like to a world that is in turmoil?
The prophet Micah clearly states,
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. In the Alliance, we feel that is best shown through prayer, stewardship, and service.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals. For that reason, we want to encourage you to make prayer the foundation of everything you are and do.
We trust that this section will aid you as you seek to become a stronger prayer warrior and a champion of prayer in your church. May God bless you as you intercede for His Church and servants worldwide, praying for His Spirit to open hearts so that every people group and nation would receive the gift of salvation.
Everything we have belongs to God. We are His stewards. This core value is deeply embeded in the nature of Alliance people. Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines a steward as “one employed in a large household or estate to manage domestic concerns (as the supervision of servants, collection of rents and keeping of accounts).” In short, a steward is a person who takes care of someone else’s property.
This entire earth and all its nations belongs to God. And as his children, we believe we are tasked with its care. Financial support of the mission is one of the ways we steward the earth for our loving heavenly Father. We hold to the truth that Jesus is our provider and live on what he has seen fit to give.
God himself was the first missionary, coming in the flesh as Jesus to a world that didn’t yet know its need. His ultimate service was giving his all for us. Is God calling you to full-time service? Or do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? Perhaps God is calling you to a new adventure. We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
If you have heard that still small voice in you heart this is the place to answer. Find out more about service in The Alliance both domestically and internationally.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.
