Steps to Follow for Career Missionary Service
1. Make initial contact with the Candidate
Development Office (CDO) preferably early in your undergrad years and request
to be considered for missionary service (called@cmalliance.org, 719-599-5999,
877-284-3262).
2. Complete the application. Working
with your CDO regional representative, begin the application process using Web
resources found at the Called2Serve Web site.
3. Schedule an accreditation interview. Upon completion of the application process and working with your CDO regional representative, request an "accreditation interview" in order to be formally accredited as a C&MA missionary "candidate."
4. Complete the development process. Under
the supervision of the Missionary Candidate Office (MCO), complete two years
of ministry experience in the United States or overseas as a Missionary
Apprentice,
as well as a minimum of one year of graduate level studies in cross-cultural
ministry.
5. Request to be appointed. Working with the Director for Missionary Candidates, request to be "considered for appointment" as a C&MA missionary. This will result in your being scheduled for a pre-appointment interview, which, if successful, will result in your formal appointment by the C&MA Board of Directors.
Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" (Mt 9:3738, NKJV).
