I urge every National Office worker, Colorado Springs pastor, and local C&MA church elder to take Perspectives. It’s a great way to understand the depth and breadth of God’s love for all peoples, and how that love has been expressed historically and in our day. This will enrich and challenge, helping us to align our hearts and actions more closely with God’s agenda for lost people.
I operate under the idea, “If it ain’t broken, break it!” I am convinced God uses the Perspectives course to break hearts and open eyes to the world as He sees it! When we gain His perspective—we tend to live and lead differently. Where I observe God’s Spirit moving, I see a church leader committed to reaching neighbors and nations. This is why I am encouraging every new worker in our movement to be informed, inspired, and involved by taking a Perspectives course as soon as they can. God used it to break my heart and mold it more after His heart for the world.

I felt that as a pastor I was far too busy (aren’t we all?) to invest the time necessary to take the Perspectives course, but took it with the hopes that I could gain something practical. Thank God I did! I had absolutely no idea how powerful and helpful the course would be! Perhaps nothing in my experience has helped expand my vision and grasp the wonder of God’s eternal purpose for unreached people like the Perspectives course.
I am pleased that our C&MA National Office will be offering Perspectives. This life-changing course helped Fairhaven Alliance go from a church with a missions program to a church with a missions passion. Perspectives, designed by the U.S. Center for World Missions, has been used by God to fan the flame for missions in the lives of hundreds of C&MA people throughout the country (The National director for the course was a key player in planting a C&MA church in the Metropolitan District). Every single person that I know who has taken the class has come away with a better understanding and a higher level of involvement in Great Commission ministries. I cannot recommend this opportunity too highly!
