Associate Pastor Of Adult Ministries: Visalia, CA

Parkside Chapel is seeking an Associate Pastor Of Adult Ministries to connect people into the body at Parkside to grow together in their knowledge and relationship with the Lord through shepherding, targeted ministries, discipleship, small groups and preaching/teaching.

This a newly created position being added to Parkside’s existing pastoral staff of Lead Pastor, Youth Pastor and Children’s Pastor and is accountable to the Lead Pastor under the oversight of the Board of Elders.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • To model and build a Great Commandment/Great Commission lifestyle among adults.
  • To make healthy disciples who are “Walking & Talking Jesus”

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee Adult Disciplemaking Classes
  • Oversee Small Groups
  • Oversee Men’s and Women’s Ministries
  • Oversee Evangelism and Outreach
  • Oversee the Prayer Chains
  • Share pulpit responsibilities
  • Assist Lead Pastor with pastoral duties
  • Partner in the overall work of the church by coordinating ministry with other ministries

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A mature Christian modeling I Timothy 3:1-7 (Elder qualities) and
  • Galatians 5:22-23 (Fruit of the Spirit) character.
  • A shepherd’s heart for the people of Parkside Chapel and the surrounding community
  • Able to recruit, equip, organize and encourage volunteers and ministry leaders
  • Gifted in expository teaching (verse-by-verse) of God’s Word
  • Seminary degree and five years of pastoral ministry experience
  • In agreement with Christian & Missionary Alliance doctrine and mission
  • Demonstrate an effectiveness in reaching new converts
  • Experienced in building Small Groups
