The Good Samaritan is what a good neighbor looks like. His story is also a great snapshot of what relief and community development, is all about. When Hamtramck in inner-city Detroit calls for community development or a violent storm such as Hurricane Katrina strikes, Alliance people are there.
Ministry to the Whole Person
We offer practical assistance to those in crisis, demonstrating the love of Christ to the whole person. A natural outgrowth of this practical ministry is to plant churches.
In addition to helping restore the lives of tens of thousands of men, women, and children devastated by the Southeast Asia 2004 tsunami, Our ministries today include:
- TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language)
- Refugee programs
- Clean-water development
- Famine relief
- Microenterprise handicrafts projects
- Medical missions
- Mother /child community care

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
