What is a Non-Clergy Worker?
A non-clergy worker is a person who serves as a lay-pastor, director, administrator, music director, etc. They are unordained personnel who are members of a local Alliance church, serve full-time in non-clergy positions and have been issued a vocational certificate.
Lay Pastor
A lay pastor is a worker who has full-time secular employment or who is retired, and has no intention of entering full-time Christian ministry, but is appointed to pastor an Alliance church. A lay pastor certificate is issued at the discretion of the district office.
