Destiny Church Is Changing the Face of Racial Tension in Cleveland, Ohio

Boyhood friends Calvin Brown, an African-American, and Bob Ross, a Caucasian, have crossed the invisible lines of “segregated Sundays” to reach into the ethnically diverse community of Twinsburg, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The two men pastor Destiny Church (C&MA).
Planted in 2004, the church now has an average attendance of nearly 200 persons, including African-Americans, Caucasians, Hispanics, Asians, and Caribbeans. One new believer says, “I now know what it means to be saved. Now I’m not afraid to die.” Their dream now a reality, Brown and Ross are leading the way in living out racial unity.
