Bongolo Hospital Airplane Venture Ends in Disaster

After two years of praying and working toward having a plane for Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, the plane’s maiden voyage was its last. After several practice take-offs and landings, the plane crashed on a subsequent take-off attempt. Unable to gain altitude, the plane crash-landed in some trees and was destroyed.

Dr. Dave Thompson and his team are grateful that God spared the lives of the pilots, Keith and Eugene, and grateful for the ongoing prayers of the Alliance family for this endeavor. Pray for Dr. Thompson and hospital staff as they seek God’s purpose through this disappointment, of which Dr. Thompson says, “This will not displace our gratitude and trust in God our Father.”
