Former District Superintendent Passes Away

Rev. Paul Hazlett passed away March 22, 2006. His wife, Carol, and family were by his side. Rev. Hazlett was a district superintendent for the Metropolitan District from 1988-1996.  
     Rev. Hazlett pastored three churches in the New England District from 1958 to 1970: White Mountain Chapel (Conway, New Hampshire), C&MA Church of West Haven (Connecticut), and Essex Alliance Church (Essex Junction, Vermont). He was an associate pastor at Simpson Memorial Church (Nyack, New York) from 1970 to 1973. He then pastored the C&MA Church at Bowling Green, Ohio, and the Chapel Hill C&MA Church at Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, before becoming the district superintendent in the Metropolitan District. After his terms of office in the Metropolitan District, he pastored the Tonawanda New York Alliance Church and was on the faculty at Alliance Theological Seminary. He retired in the Metropolitan District in 2004j, and he and his wife then moved to Florida. 
     The Alliance family expresses gratitude for the many years of service that Rev. Paul Hazlett gave to the Lord and The Christian and Missionary Alliance.
