Former President of Christian Publications Dies

Dr. K. Neill Foster, Alliance author, pastor, evangelist, and former president of Christian Publications, died Sunday night following a massive stroke. He was 70 years old. Foster was hospitalized last Thursday after suffering a major stroke caused by a blood clot at the base of the brain stem. The medical team successfully broke up the clot and induced a coma. They were, though, unsure of brain damage because of the reduced flow of oxygen to the brain.
His condition deteriorated, and the family met yesterday at his bedside and agreed to have the life support tubes removed after they realized there was no possibility of recovery. Foster passed away shortly after that.
Foster graduated from Canadian Bible College in 1957 and from Canadian Theological Seminary in 1980. He was president of Christian Publications from April 1989 until June 2002.
A memorial service will be held in Calgary, with the funeral held in Beaver Lodge, Alberta. Foster is survived by his wife, Marilynne, and three children: Timothy, Donna, and Jeffrey.
