Former Missionary to Venezuela Dies

Christy Meadows, former missionary to Venezuela, went to be with the Lord on June 20 after a long battle with cancer. She was 37 years old. Meadows performed her home service at Risen King Community Church in Redding, California, from 1994 to 1996, after which she left for San Jose, Costa Rica, in January 1997, for a year of language study.
Meadows served in Caracas in church-planting ministries. After her first term was over, she concluded with International Ministries and went to work at Simpson College. She transferred to Toccoa Falls College in 2004 where she served as director of admissions.
A memorial is planned at Risen King Community Church for Wednesday, June 28.
