Refugees Receiving Aid from Alliance Churches

Nearly 100 members of Lebanon’s five Alliance churches are distributing food and medicine as well as blankets, mattresses, soap, and water to thousands of refugees as the Middle East conflict escalates. In some cases, church members also are providing housing for refugees from all walks of life and religious beliefs.
Already, Compassion and Mercy Associates (CAMA) has sent $25,000 to assist Lebanese Alliance churches in aiding their needy countrymen. Recent reports indicate that as many as 700,000 people have been displaced.
With hundreds of thousands of people in need, supplies will not last long. Word is that relief corridors soon may open for ships bringing in food and medicine, and The Alliance wants to have the resources to continue providing for the refugees.
Already, leaders of Christian Alliance churches in Lebanon have dipped into church reserves to spend $150,000. Financial assistance from The Alliance family in the United States and Canada is needed immediately.
