Krasnodar Church Wins Court Case
December 15, 2006
“We won the case!” declared Russian church leader Dmitry Lavrov yesterday after the state court ruled in favor of the House of the Gospel Church in Krasnodar, Russia. Several months ago, city officials had lodged a complaint that construction of the church was illegal, and the building was to be demolished. The church appealed the ruling, which was overturned, but the city continued its legal quest to close the church. Yesterday’s court decision denying the city’s complaint was a great victory for God’s people. “Praise the Lord,” said Lavrov. “He is at work!” Pray that the city will abandon its effort to destroy the church and that God will soften the hearts of city officials toward Him.
