Alliance Ministry in Cambodia Celebrates 10 Years

     Alliance missionaries to Cambodia and the Cambodian national church will celebrate the 10th anniversary of NewHope Ministries in Phnom Penh in May. C&MA missionaries Rick and Beth Drummond worked with the national church in 1997 to establish the outreach to refugees, mostly Vietnamese, along the Mekong River. The Drummonds will speak at the event.  
     The multifaceted ministry includes NewHope Evangelical School for children who otherwise would not receive an education and medical treatment and a home-care project for AIDS patients. Many AIDS-affected families, grateful for the compassionate care they have received, have responded by trusting in Jesus. As a result, several churches have been planted in the area.
