Alliance in Cote d’ Ivoire Sends International Missionaries

A crowd of 7,000 gathered in the stadium of the former rebel stronghold of Bouake, Cote d’Ivoire, for the closing worship service of the Alliance national church convention. A parade of the faithful marched through the streets, singing praises to God. Dances and songs of adoration filled the stadium for hours during the previous evening, during which an offering of more than $2,000 was received to send the church’s first international missionaries. “This is a significant amount in a country where many people live on less than US$2 per day,” said Alliance missionaries. “Because of your giving to the Great Commission Fund, that gift was matched, and it will help send an Ivorian missionary couple to Togo this month.”
