From New Year’s Eve (January 1) to the White Moon, or Tsagaan Sar, Festival (February 14-16, this year) is a rough time of year in Mongolia. It is bitter cold, and perseverance is worn thin. Yet, God is beginning something new here in the “dead” of winter, and we are excited to be a part of it!
After hearing the gospel presented in Chinese, 30 students in Taipei— Taiwan’s largest city—received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior during the ENvision conference sponsored by the Alliance Youth Office of the C&MA.
Don and Hazel Schaeffer have been serving with The Alliance in Japan for more than 25 years, shining the Light of Jesus into spiritually dark neighborhoods of Saitima Ken. “We thank God for His Word—that it never changes,” they say, “and that it brings hope and life.”
Please pray for Pastor Sami Dagher’s 18-year-old granddaughter (Christine), Paul Dagher’s oldest child.

Leaving family, church, and home behind, an Alliance layman boarded a helicopter last week with his sights set on helping the Haitian people, who are still reeling from the devastating destruction and loss caused by a 7.0 earthquake in January.
