A series of aftershocks rocked Chile yesterday, including a 7.2 magnitude quake that was stronger than the earthquake that devastated Haiti in January. Although the aftershocks triggered a tsunami warning, there were no fatalities, and no Alliance international workers appear to have been injured.

After the devastating earthquake that rocked Chile, conservative estimates report that half a million homes have been destroyed or are unsafe for occupation. People are fearful, hurting, and uncertain. It is imperative that Alliance churches be equipped as soon as possible to minister once again to the needs of their communities.
