Alliance Youth Leader Killed in Plane Crash

On May 7, 2011, due to heavy rainfall, a Merpati Airlines plane crashed into the ocean just short of the grass airstrip in Kaimana, Papua, Indonesia, killing all 27 passengers and crew. On board was Ridwan Sam Maluegha, a leader in Team Joshua, an Alliance youth movement. Ridwan is survived by his wife, Yohanna, and their daughter, Gabby. The copilot, Paul Naps, was the younger brother of the director for CAMA (Compassion and Mercy Associates) in Papua. Paul is survived by his wife, Asmalia, and three children: Feri, Richard, and Joshua.

Pray for the loved ones of those who perished, including the families of Ridwan and Paul, “as well as the greater Team Joshua family as we grieve this great loss,” says Alliance worker Barry Jordan, who serves with Team Joshua.
