Man Arrested in Alliance Church Fire

A man believed to be responsible for the November 30 fire that destroyed the Cape Cod Alliance Church (Brewster, Mass.) has been arrested. Church leaders contacted the young man’s parents, assuring them that the church family has forgiven their son.

On the Sunday following the fire, services were held at a nearby school, where New England District Superintendent Tom Flanders joined the congregation for worship and prayer.

The church was fully insured, and plans are to rebuild on the same property. Pastor Myron Heckman and his leadership team desire that, out of the ashes, God will be glorified.

Church leaders appreciate the generous expressions of support they have received and request prayer for God’s wisdom and guidance for the reconstruction.
