Not about Numbers

By Karissa Wallace, serving in Germany

We had only three campers at English Day Camp last month. These numbers are not impressive by most standards, but God taught me that numbers do not mean the same to Him as they do to me. Many people had been praying [for a large group of children to attend], but God was not answering in the way that I thought He should. So what could He possibly be doing?

The short-term team of English teachers did a great job in providing variety in the lessons and making the learning fun! Despite language barriers, the children quickly connected to the adults and were excited to hear Bible stories and receive their own Bibles.

By the end of the week there were tear-filled goodbyes; it was amazing to see the relationships that were built! English Day Camp did not look the way that I had envisioned it, and I am so thankful for that! Please join us in praying for the Word to take root in the kids’ heart, that they will place their trust in Jesus and share this good news with others.
