This past weekend Burkina Faso observed three days of mourning (Friday–Sunday) for former president Colonel Saye Zerbo, who passed away last week.
“His daughter gave a beautiful testimony on TV about the peace the family has because her dad knew the Lord Jesus,” an Alliance worker said.
Colonel Zerbo’s conversion from the majority religion to Christianity has been a powerful witness, Alliance personnel observed. The former president attended The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) Central Church in Ouagadougou for many years.
“Please pray for this man’s family as they grieve. Pray, too, for Burkina Faso’s people to be drawn to the truth as they reflect on Colonel Zerbo’s life,” a worker requested.
