Luke 18:1 says, “. . . always pray and don’t give up.” Two years ago, Destri visited our Team Joshua event in Sentani. After the service, she asked me to pray that her father, who was a follower of the country’s dominant religion, would come to know Jesus. I prayed for Destri that evening, and I continued to pray for her dad daily.
Last Friday after a service in Abepura, I was greeting our guests and shook hands with a young lady who said her name was Destri. “I pray daily for a young woman named Destri,” I replied. She said, “That’s me.”
I hadn’t seen her in two years. “How is it with your dad?” I asked her.
“Praise the Lord!” Destri replied. “My dad received Jesus as his Savior!” Rejoice with us for His answer to our prayers for Destri’s father.
