By an Alliance worker in a creative-access country
Hi. I want to ask how I can change religion. I want to be a Christian, but I will have big problems if I change to Christian. You can help me?
This message came to us through our center’s Facebook page a few days ago. We have had subsequent conversations on Facebook, and this student still is not sure about having the courage to speak with us in person. Pray for courage and boldness for this unknown student, who is seeking and also counting the cost.
Seven people attended our Bible study last week. The English program is as popular as ever, and our community group is growing as well. The ministry to refugees is expanding after we added an after-school tutoring program for children.
We get the sense that God is on the move in our city, and we’re excited to see where He leads. As always, we continue to face extreme challenges, and security is an ever-present concern.
We never know if people will be able to take that huge leap to leave their traditional religion to follow Jesus. But we believe that God is working in new ways, and we are privileged to be part of what He is doing.
As A. B. Simpson said, “God is pouring floods upon the dry ground . . . Surely, it is the time to work with God when God Himself is so mightily marching on.”
We march with Him!
What You Can Do
The prayers of God’s people strengthen Alliance workers to live and serve across the globe. Use our weekly Alliance Prayer Requests to join the worldwide Alliance family in praying for them.
