Expectancy and Anticipation

In the final days leading up to Council, two words continue to shape my posture: expectancy and anticipation. Naturally, I am thrilled about the slate of speakers that are lined up and the worship that is being prepared, along with the breakout sessions and other happenings of the week. But beyond these carefully and prayerfully planned events, there is a strong sense that God is at work in The Alliance.

By gathering together, we get to share a unique opportunity—at a pivotal time in our history—to listen, discern, celebrate, dialogue, and respond to what He is doing among us and to follow Him boldly into the next chapter of Alliance ministry.

So, in preparation for our time together, let’s make ready our hearts, minds, and spirits to receive and respond to all He wants to invite us into—whether personal renewal, fresh clarity, or a courageous step toward something bigger than ourselves.

Grateful to be sharing this experience Together,

John Stumbo
President, U.S. C&MA
