Christina Grimmie, a 22-year-old rising star who appeared as a contestant in season 6 of NBC’s “The Voice,” was tragically gunned down by a deranged fan while signing autographs after a performance in Orlando, Florida, on Friday evening, June 10. The shooter then took his own life.
Christina and her family were long-standing members of Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, New Jersey. Church leaders and members recall how Christina’s gifts stood out from an early age. “When we first heard her sing, we were like ‘this girl has a good gift,’” noted Brian Snyder, executive pastor at Fellowship Alliance.
In the church and throughout the south Jersey community, Christina became widely known not only for her stand-out voice but also for her sweet-spirited warmth and humility. “She was a wonderful gal, and what you saw was what she was. She was genuine. She was the real deal,” recalls Senior Pastor Marty Berglund.

Please pray for Christina’s parents, brother, and extended family through this difficult time.
