The third terrorist attack in France within a year-and-a-half occurred July 14 in Nice, France. A truck barreled through a Bastille Day crowd, killing 84 people and injuring 202, as of this writing. Though there was much destruction, no Alliance people are known to have been harmed. Pray that families who lost loved ones will find comfort and peace in this time of turmoil.
Brad Reynolds, an Alliance team member in France, reports that there is no Alliance work in that area, except for one church in Marseilles, which is more than 100 miles away. Updates will be posted if it becomes known that church members or their families were affected.
Alliance workers in France are holding an evangelistic campaign this weekend. In light of recent events, pray for God’s protection of Alliance team members and those who attend this event. Also, pray that God’s people will not shrink back in fear from proclaiming the gospel but be emboldened to speak the truth.
