Written primarily by Alliance front-line workers, the award-winning Alliance Life magazine bears first-hand witness to what God is doing through the worldwide Alliance family. It also challenges readers to go deeper in their walks with Jesus—or for some, to travel across the ocean to Gabon, Africa.
In May 2016 our editorial staff received the following letter from a reader:
I’m writing to share with you an example of how God is using Alliance Life. He used the article “Oaks of Righteousness” by John Brandon in the July/August 2015 edition to answer the prayers of a missionary in Gabon, Africa. This missionary has a rather large burden, and as he prayed about what to do, there sat the Alliance Life on his kitchen table. Now this small woodcutting ministry in the rural lake country of Minnesota has been invited to take on this burden—a large tree.
I wanted to take the time to write and ask your team to please pray for these four guys from our community as they serve in Gabon this week. Please pray for safety as they cut down a tree that is 6.5 feet in diameter and 180 feet tall.
I’m excited to see what God does in and through them this week. They started out with a rough time of getting the appropriate equipment to Africa, but we are praying that God will do mighty things is providing all that they need.
Thanks for your ministry!
Jillene
