FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — On June 1, 2017, at Alliance Council in Columbus, Ohio, accredited delegates onsite as well as accredited proxy delegates will have opportunity to vote in the C&MA presidential election. Incumbent President John Stumbo has agreed to allow his name to stand for another four-year term.
Because Council 2017 will not be receiving floor nominations for president, the Presidential Election Sub-Committee invites you to submit names at this time to be considered for the Office of President for the term of August 1, 2017–July 31, 2021. The Committee asks that you secure the approval of the person to enter the process before submitting his name.
Submissions should be sent to the chairperson of the Presidential Election Sub-Committee, Rev. David L. Gilmore at firstname.lastname@example.org. Submissions should include the name of the person you are submitting for nomination, along with his current contact information, the name of the C&MA church where he is an active member, and a statement that the person so nominated has given his permission to be considered for the Office of President. Please also include your full name, your current contact information, and where you are an active C&MA church member. All submissions must be received by November 30, 2016.
The Presidential Election Sub-Committee remains fully committed to the presidential election process as outlined in the Manual of The Christian and Missionary Alliance.
