How Your Relief Money Is Being Spent
The Alliance response to the needs following Hurricane Katrina has been amazing. So many are willing to give and to go, and churches are on the front lines meeting the needs of those whose lives have been disrupted. Thank you to those who have graciously given. Here is how we have been using those funds thus far:

Southern District = $1,611,045.00 for community centers in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Gulfport for hurricane assistance; general relief efforts
Genesis Church = $259,259.15 for hurricane relief work in Waveland, Mississippi
Alliance Bible Church = $20,543 for Baytown Christian Academy Student Aid for children of evacuees in Texas and hurricane relief aid
Vietnamese District = $5,000 for hurricane relief work
Rev. Kim Tran = $3,000 for hurricane assistance for three families' rent, utilities, and food
Serving You Ministries = $5,000 for food, clothing, and scholarship funds for evacuees
First Alliance Vietnamese Church = $5,000 housing for 15 families and assistance in purchasing food and clothing and in paying for utility and transportation bills
Eden Road Community = $25,000 for housing, food, and clothing program for evacuees in the Arlington, Texas area
Individual Grants = $8,000 for three evacuee families assisted with expenses
Colorado Springs Christian School = $10,000 for after-school scholarships for evacuee families
New Hope Church = $1,170 for hurricane relief/Neudahl Church
Southeastern District = $75,000 for church relief/reconstruction
Simpson University = $4,500 for Short term Katrina relief teams
