About the offering

Gifts this year will enable workers with the Alliance and CAMA (our relief and development arm) to expand their combined efforts to establish long-term communities of faith in some of the world’s most hopeless places.

• 

  Ishinomaki, Japan

  CAMA and Alliance workers opened the New Life Center earlier this year in the heart of last year’s earthquake and tsunami devastation. Traumatized survivors are finding that Jesus is the rebuilder of shattered lives.
• 

  Middle East

  International workers are helping Alliance churches to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of thousands of refugees. Most have no assurance that they’ll be able to return to their homeland and are desperately seeking the hope that Jesus brings.
• 

  Kosovo

  CAMA workers at the Agape Center are helping to rehabilitate children and adults who’ve been told they’ll never walk again. Patients are seeing glimpses of a Heavenly Father who cares deeply for them—body and soul.

Q&A: 2012 Year-End Offering

Explain more about why there’s a combined offering this year?

During the past year, we’ve received helpful feedback from pastors and district superintendents about ways to simplify the funding structure for Alliance ministries. One suggestion was to combine the CAMA Thanksgiving and Alliance Christmas offerings so that churches wouldn’t have to choose between the two. Since CAMA and Alliance workers labor together to proclaim the gospel in word and deed, a combined offering is a great way to help take the whole gospel to the whole world.

Our church just had our fall Missions Conference and/or Faith Promise campaign. Why ask our people to participate in the Year-End Offering?

The Year-End Offering will help reinforce your efforts to engage your church in Alliance missions. This is an ideal time for members of your congregation to put what they heard during Missions Conference into practice. By participating in this offering, you’re giving people the opportunity to act on a message that is still fresh in their minds.

We promote the GCF and CAMA throughout the year. Does a Year-End Offering make sense for us?

Absolutely. People who understand and support the GCF and CAMA Advance Fund will be thrilled to hear about what their gifts are accomplishing. And those who don’t yet know about these two funds will be excited to discover their potential to impact the world. Using some of the tools you will be receiving in the mail in early October, you can inform your congregation about the incredible things God has done and is doing through their partnership.
