Guinea
Guinea is over 85% Muslim. The world’s fourth largest mosque is in Guinea’s capitol. Three main Muslim groups comprise 60% of the population . . . and it is within these three groups that the C&MA has teams focused on church-implantation. GVers will work with the Fula people . . . who are 99.9% Muslim. The team will experience tribal language study, prayer-trekking, sharing their testimony, traveling with rural mobile medical and dental clinics, working with kid’s clubs, teaching English, teaching computers, be involved with clean water projects, and a village living experience are some of the areas of ministry for GVers. Spiritual oppression is heavy and poverty is acute. Culture shock is likely; therefore, intercessory discernment will be helpful.
