Jordan
Jordan is home to Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the world! You will also find in Jordan many ancient bliblical sites, like Mt. Nebo and the baptismal site of Jesus. While you are in Jordan, you will have the opportunity to experience each one of these unique places. During each week of your stay, you will be plugged in to one of our various community centers. Students will help run a summer English program that many Jordanian students will attend. In addition the Centers also run coffee shop ministry and whether the team teaches English or serves in the coffee shop, they will have the opportunity to develop significant relationships with local people. As those relationships develop, GV students will no doubt be invited to homes for meals and possibly even weekend visits.
Qualifications
Applicants should be in their sophomore–senior year in college; preference will be given to upperclassmen. The upper age limit is 25 years old although exceptions may be made for students who exceed this. Applicants should demonstrate personal and spiritual maturity, sense God’s calling to cross-cultural ministry overseas, and are open and obedient to God’s leading.

*Team fee includes room/board, in-field travel, language study, administration fee, short-term insurance and miscellaneous expenses. The cost for an individual (instead of a team) that serves with GVDiscovery is considered on a case by case basis.
