The Alliance: Living the Call Together

Global Ventures Discovery

Mali

Mali is a majority Muslim nation with a rich history and culture, though this historical crossroad of trade is now the fourth poorest country of the world. The southern half of the country contains most of its 12 million inhabitants. The fabled city of Timbuktu is one of the reasons it is so rich in archeological sites. Less than 1% of the country’s population can be considered evangelical Christians. 38 of Mali’s 63 People Groups are considered least reached.

The team will begin to learn the trade language of Bambara which 80% of the people can speak. Two members of the team will spend three weeks working alongside missionaries at the Koutiala Hospital for Women and Children and the last three weeks being involved in camps, teaching English and working with youth alongside of other missionaries on the field team. One member will spend six weeks working with women and youth alongside missionaries in the capital city of Bamako and ministering alongside missionaries in rural areas
