Summer of Mission / Gabon
Are you a high-schooler looking for a summer trip that will stretch your faith, test your resolve, and point you in the direction that God is leading? Summer of Mission-Gabon is just that opportunity!
You will embark on a 25 day journey to Gabon, West Africa where you will
- work with compassion ministries to encourage social responsibility,
- work with primary and preventative medical care professionals,
- work with national and loca C&MA leadership to accomplish their vision to reach the Gabonese and surrounding African people.
Get a taste of cross-cultural ministry in an overseas setting and have the opportunity to see first-hand the life of a typical Gabonese man or woman. You’ll even get a chance to see the work at Bongolo Hospital, a vital ministry started by Dr. Dave Thompson over 30 years ago.
Qualifications
Applicants must be a rising senior or graduating high school senior by July 11, 2010. Applicants should demonstrate personal and spiritual maturity, sense God’s calling to cross-cultural ministry overseas, and are open and obedient to God’s leading.

Costs and Fees
Team fee per person: $3850*
*Team fee includes Airfare from Vermillion, OH to Libreville, Gabon, room and board, in-field travel, interpreters, and short-term travel insurance. Team fee does NOT include transportation to and from Vermillion, OH, Passport and Visa ($131) or spending money ($100 suggested).
