Opportunity� Faith�Community�Church�is�a�young�steadily�growing�church�that�is�looking�to�bring�on� our�first�fulltime�Assistant�Pastor.��The�ideal�candidate�will�be�a�Christ�Centered�Leader,� with�a�passion�for�discipleship,�who�has�clearly�exhibited�the�behavior�of�seeking�the� will�of�Jesus�Christ�when�approaching�challenges,�and�who�meets�the�Biblical� requirements�for�pastor/elder�(Titus�1:5-9,�1�Tim.�3:1-7,�1�Peter�5:1-4).� � We�are�a�multigenerational�and�diverse�congregation�blessed�with�many�young�families,� who�enjoy�living�life�together.��As�a�community�of�believers,�we�are�known�as�a�warm� and�genuine�fellowship.��At�Faith�Community�Church,�we�are�dedicated�to�living�out�our� vision:�“Living�the�Good�News�together�to�cultivate�a�community�on�mission�among�our� neighbors�near�and�far.”� � Summary�of�Position� The�Assistant�Pastor�will�work​�​with�the�Lead�Pastor�to�serve�as�a�catalyst�for� implementing�the�vision�and�mission�of�the�church.��This�is�a�pastoral�leadership�role� over�all�disciple�making�ministries�of�the�church�including�local�and�global�outreach,� Adult�Community�Groups,�Men’s�and�Women’s�Ministries,�Teen�ministry,�and�Children’s� ministry.��Additional�responsibilities�include�assisting�with�the�overall�pastoral�duties�as� needed.��The�Assistant�Pastor�will�report�to�the�Lead�Pastor�and�Elders.� � Responsibilities� ? Support�and�advance�the�mission,�vision,�and�values�of�the�church� ? Help�cast�vision�and�lead�church-wide�initiatives�for�discipleship�of�all�age�groups� ? Children�&�Teens�-�Developing�and�Leading�ministry�teams;�including,�but�not� limited�to:�� ? Casting�and�implementing�a�vision�for�raising�up�faithful�followers�of� Jesus� ? Identifying,�nurturing,�and�equipping�volunteers�to�be�effective�disciple� makers� ? Nurturing�and�equipping�parents�to�be�effective�disciple�makers�within� their�families� ? Leading�and�guiding�curriculum�selection� ? Oversight�of�related�policies,�procedures,�and�budgets� ? Adults�-�Developing�and�Leading�the�Community�Group�Ministry�and�Men’s�&� Women’s�Ministries;�including�but�not�limited�to:�� ? Casting�and�implementing�a�vision�for�raising�up�faithful�followers�of� Jesus�for�all�ages� ? Pursuing�the�goal�of�every�member�in�discipling�relationships�and�serving� ? Identifying,�nurturing,�and�equipping�adult�ministry�leaders� ? Oversight�of�related�policies,�procedures,�and�budgets�related�to�these� ministries� ? Collaborate�with�and�assist�the�Lead�Pastor�with�missional�outreach� ? Set�an�example�for�the�congregation�in�missional�engagement�through� intentional�community�relationships�and�personal�evangelism� ? Support�church-wide�initiatives�to�cultivate�a�community�on�mission� among�our�neighbors�near�and�far� ? Collaborate�with�and�assist�the�Lead�Pastor�in�the�integration�of�new�members� into�the�life�of�the�church� ? Collaborate�with�and�assist�the�Lead�Pastor�in�church-wide�communications� including�print,�web,�social�media,�and�email� ? Preach�in�the�Lead�Pastor’s�absence�4-6�times�annually� ? Serve�as�an�active�participant�on�the�Ministry�Leadership�Team� ? Be�personally�involved�in�the�holistic�life�of�the�church� � Desired�Qualifications� ? Meets�Biblical�requirements�for�pastor/elder�(​Titus�1:5-9,�1�Tim.�3:1-7,�1�Peter� 5:1-4)� ? Licensed�and�ordained�with�the�Christian�and�Missionary�Alliance�or�willing�and� able�to�do�so� ? Bachelor’s�degree�or�related�experience� ? Proven�track�record�and�vision�for�discipling�others� ? Experience�leading�volunteer�teams�� ? Demonstrated�ability�leading�children,�youth,�and�adults� � Preferred�Qualifications� ? Degree�in�ministry�related�field� ? Demonstrated�love�for�people�and�desire�to�see�lives�changed�by�the�Gospel� ? Track�record�of�identifying,�equipping,�and�leading�leaders� ? Excellent�verbal�and�written�communication�skills� ? Demonstrated�preaching�experience� ? Takes�initiative�and�works�with�minimal�supervision� ? Able�to�perform�daily�administrative�tasks�� � Summary�of�Church,�� ?
