Children’s Ministry Director Church: Pine Knolls Alliance Church – South Glens Falls, New York Job Type: Full-Time Website: Why Minister at Pine Knolls: Pine Knolls Alliance Church ( exists to experience and share the hope and healing of Jesus. The ideal candidate for this position must have a heart for Jesus and a mind for organization and teaching. This position offers the opportunity to lead and cast vision with a well-established team for the purpose of shepherding children newborn through fifth grade. The Children’s Ministry Director role is both integrated and integral to the body of the church. This position not only offers support to the children and parents of Pine Knolls, but also provides an outreach to the young families in our community through creative programs and events. Primary Responsibilities: * Oversee the Children’s Ministry program during Sunday morning services (newborn through fifth grade) and the AWANA ministry by providing support and guidance to all teachers and volunteers. * Implement a biblically sound curriculum for Sunday morning services that incorporates age-appropriate lessons for each classroom, and elevates our family partnership priority. * Equip and inspire a seasoned team of volunteers who currently serve during Sunday morning services, AWANA, and special events. Director will also recruit and train new volunteers who are looking forward to joining the Children’s Ministry team. * Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with children and their families. * Organize and lead special events such as Summer Camp and the Easter Egg Hunt. Qualifications: * Demonstrably growing in relationship with Jesus and His Word. * Hold beliefs that are consistent with the C&MA Statement of Faith, Polity, Core Values – Understand and own PKA Vision & Values. * Experience working with children from newborn through fifth grade (>4 years preferable). * Bachelor’s degree and moderate computer literacy. * Experience and/or willingness to learn church database software, website, social media and other communication mediums. * Comfort and competent in public speaking, willing to engage in challenging conversations, and able to provide calm and confident leadership to children and their parents, as well as church staff and volunteers.
