Media Director at Crosstown Alliance Position and Church Profile Title: Media Director Reports To: Lead Pastor Works With: Lead pastor, Creative and Communication Director, and Worship Leaders. Serves on: Central Staff (support staff for all campuses) Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week Objective: Lead the ongoing growth and development of our church’s media ministry leveraging video, lighting, sound, technology, and staging as part of our worship experiences and special events. Develop a skilled volunteer team to help produce worship services that lead people to discover and worship Jesus. The media director will need to be an experienced video editor who is capable of working well with a team of staff and volunteers. Preferred skills and experience for this position include things such as: live streaming, video production, audio, lighting, and functional Wordpress knowledge. Key Responsibilities: * Utilize skills and knowledge of audio, lighting, and video to continually improve the overall worship service experience. * Provide support for our network and church database as needed. * Develop and oversee video tech team for Sunday services and other events. * Develop and submit annual budget items for consideration. * Research and purchase technology as we are able, and as it is needed in order to carry out the media ministry vision. * Format the sermon series graphics (created by the creative director) for each of the media outlets that we use (Facebook, web, video, screen, print, etc). * Serve as the video switcher operator at the live campus. * Edit and upload the sermon and full service to Crosstown’s YouTube and Vimeo channels. * Update Crosstown’s weekly podcast (sermon audio). * Work with the Creative and Communications Director to produce graphics and media for Kidzone and Roots (Student) ministries. * Input sermon notes into ProPresenter as needed by the preaching pastor. * Film, edit and produce Crosstown’s year in review video (Crosstown rewind) * Create the occasional Highlight video of certain special events. Examples may include a highlight video of VBS, or Summer/Winter campus. These responsibilities are a general overview of the job duties and may be changed or added to as the need may arise. Qualified applicants will revive a more detailed master ministry plan during the interview process to preview and ask any questions they may have. Skills/Qualifications: 1. Experience working with Premiere Pro and other Creative Cloud programs 2. Successful track record in project management 3. Ability to prioritize and multi-task (detail-oriented as well) 4. Ability to work fast to meet hard deadlines (i.e.: days NOT weeks) 5. Display a caring, helpful, positive, team-oriented attitude in the workplace 6. An interest in the latest trends in media ministry 7. Demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ 8.
