DOVER ALLIANCE CHURCH JOB DESCRIPTION Associate Pastor of Young Adults and Youth Principle Functions: Young Adults Ministry- The Associate Pastor will also be responsible for connecting young (age 30 & below) couples to Dover Alliance Church. He will develop the ministry with the Senior Pastor and will set goals and objectives for the Young Adult Ministry. College and Career Ministry- The Associate Pastor will be responsible for connecting those young adults fresh out of Youth Group. He will promote, structure and maintain a ministry that transitions young people from Youth Group into adult members. Youth Ministry- The Associate Pastor is responsible for all Youth ministries to junior and senior high students (6th through 12th grades). This might include, but is not limited to, weekly activities, retreats, outreach, discipleship, Missions trips, and special programs. Dover Alliance Website & Social Media- The Associate Pastor will be responsible to work with Senior Pastor to continue website development and social media presence. Working Relationships: The Associate Pastor is responsible directly to the Senior Pastor and is a voting member of the Governing Board and Board of Elders. His participation is appreciated and expected. He is an important part of the Pastoral Team. Specific Responsibilities: To integrate with current volunteers and to recruit, train, and supervise lay volunteers for all Young Adult, College & Career, and Youth Ministries. To provide direction, goal setting, uniform strategy, administration, evaluation, and planning for all Young Adult, College & Career and Youth Ministries. General Pastoral & Administrative Responsibilities: 1. To fill the pulpit as requested. 2. To remain professionally current in one's area of leadership and ministry, including reading, studying, consulting, training, seminars, and conferences. To make pastoral growth a priority, retreating occasionally for spiritual renewal and refreshment, reading and planning, Bible study, prayer, and fasting. 3. To engage in all areas of the Church as needs arise. (From preaching to cleanup, etc.) We are servants of God. 4. To help promote intergenerational relationships by setting the example of connecting with all ministries and age groups at Dover Alliance. This includes attending both worship services, attending governing board meetings and attending elder’s meetings 5. To be a Godly steward of time and expenses.
