Step out of your comfort zone, into Pittsburgh’s unique, hometown culture, and open up your eyes. Amidst parks and rivers, busy streets and people‐scattered sidewalks, you will be exposed to the needs of the city and encounter dynamic and beautiful people who are affected daily by the hardships of urban life. While actively engaging in different aspects of the inner‐city in unconventional ways, you will experience the realities of education, arts and entertainment, economics, health, and justice in the city that will challenge your views and preconceptions.

God dreams for the city. His heart bursts for those that live there. And He asks us to come alongside those who are presently in the trenches. Join them in addressing the needs of the urban poor as they respond with holistic, missional approaches. Through this week‐long experience, you and your team will be a part of transforming lives, loving as God loves, and bringing glory to His name. With an encouraged and filled heart, you will depart from this trip motivated to lead missional lives in your own hometown and in cities around the world.

Trip Costs and Fees

  • Group fee per person: $375*
  • Airfare: Purchased on your own.
  • Ground Travel: Purchased on your own.

*Group fee includes food, housing, materials, and activities. Trips do NOT include airport taxes or visa charges. Please check with STMO if any of these apply to your destination—Ecuador/Peru/Gabon/El Salvador/Cambodia have these charges. Trips with dates listed need to travel on those days. If a trip extends longer than the dates listed a charge of $55/person/day will be charged. A 20% non-refundable deposit for the total trip cost is due upon registration. Balance for all trips is due 60 days prior to your trip. Late payments are subject to a fee.
