Why I love youth ministry…
I love youth ministry for three reasons. First of all, I love the flexibility. There is nothing better than being able to introduce and run new programs and plans and then being able to change those plans months later if you find that they are not working. Second, I love the passion. Students today are slipping around in a “sandy” world without a foundation. However, when teenagers find their feet steady on the loving rock of Jesus Christ, they worship Him with an intensity seldom found on this side of heaven. Third, teenagers are very genuine. Because teens live in a world without walls they are searching for the real truth. Bluffing is not acceptable. Honesty is essential. Youth Ministry is never dull, because youth ministry is very real! —John Sappia
