Interns at Envision’s Green Gate program in Indonesia use a variety of tools—including sports, the arts, and English, to share Christ’s love with young people and their families.
Judy Gaskin, an Alliance missionary in Indonesia for nearly 45 years, talks about being a “hillbilly from Alabama” from a dysfunctional family. Saved through the love of an Alliance pastor’s wife, Judy pursued her call to overseas children’s ministry, through which thousands of children have come to Christ. “God delights in using the simple things, someone ordinary like me, to do great things for Him,” she concludes. It contains the largest population of Muslims in the world, despite having outgrown the U.S. Alliance in its number of churches. In reflecting on this legacy, John reminds us to see the fruit of our work as lasting and multi-generational.
