Todd and Terri Althaus
Prayer Letter/Ministry Update
Hello Team,
Here are a few items of prayer THIS WEEK that we'd love to have you join us in:
* Terri has two big projects this week that she needs the Lord's help with, for discipline of time and focus to work hard and complete them well: 1. Qualitative Research study paper on how family roles influence English language learning for members of a Burmese refugee family.(This has been so interesting! This is a family our church is helping with their integration to the U.S. They are wonderful and it's been a joy to get to know them). 2. Developing an 8-week curriculum unit on teaching Business writing. (This will be helpful for teaching English in France and I want to find good resources for it).
* Pray for Terri as she contributes to the Faculty Council at Wheaton College. She was honored to be asked by the Grad school faculty to represent the grad school on this council that set agenda for faculty business meetings with the President. Pray that she would understand this role and discharge it well as she represents the 500 or so grad students--she's needing God's help and grace to do that. The first Council meeting is next Tuesday
* The France field Strategic Field Review will be next week. You've been praying, please continue as leadership from the U.S. and the field hear from God about field direction, vision, and personnel placement.
*Continue to pray as Todd tours in Alliance churches in Western Pennsylvania. It is is going well. Pray that God uses him to inform, instruct, inspire and invite Alliance people to join Jesus in his mission both locally and globally.
PRAISE the Almighty for His help and grace:
* Sarah has been hired by World Relief to help with their refugee resettlement work. Part of that entails transporting immigrants to places of work and classes. For the next month it involves picking up people at 4:15 am (!) and driving on Chicago highways. Please pray for alertness and protection for her and all in her van.
* Thomas is doing well in spite of Dad being gone for many weeks. Recently he had to be on an inhaler for asthma after a cold-- which he never has had trouble with before. He, along with the rest of us, are looking forward to Dad being home for 7 days next week.
Serving Him with you,
Todd and Terri Althaus

Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.
Give.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.
Serve.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
