Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

It’s springtime for FAARO!
Actually, it is springtime all over Argentina. The weather is warmer, flowers are in bloom, trees are budding, and people are going out in summer wear.

Springtime…bring it on!

Springtime also brings on a lot for FAARO. FAARO (Alliance Foundation for Help, Resources and Opportunities) works with churches and other groups in Argentina that share God’s love in word and deed among the poor and marginalized. In December we’ll be working with SACDEM, a prison ministry that works with both prisoners and their children (Children up to age four can live with their mothers in Argentine prisons). To show the love of God SACDEM yearly provides sweet bread, sugar and Argentine tea to each prisoner and worker at the Buenos Aires prison; FAARO is committed to helping SACDEM financially. FAARO also continues to support children living in shanty towns through academic scholarships, helps churches provide food for family feeding kitchens, and hopes to restart its yearly Backpack to School Project (here in Argentina the school year begins in March) where children chosen by churches working among the poor receive backpacks with school supplies to help them start the school year well.

Last month I traveled to northern Argentina for the inauguration of a dental clinic begun by My Brother’s House. My Brother’s House is a ministry of a local church that helps hospital patients and their families with food and boarding, outpatient services, an ambulance service and now a dental clinic. Aided by a team of volunteer dentists from the community, patients and families will now hear God’s word and experience His love though free dental work. FAARO helped fund this strategic ministry. I invite you to click below to see the pictures and see the story.

Would you be interested in helping us assist churches that make a difference among the poor? FAARO survives, and thrives, though donations. See below to send a gift that will help FAARO this spring and beyond.

To make a gift to FAARO please do the following:
Checks for FAARO should be mailed to CAMA Services P.O. Box 35000Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500. Please write “Faaro” on the indication line.
Online giving for FAARO will be set up this year but is still in process. If you’d like to give online please email me and I’ll send instructions on how to do this.

As well, we Butlers are also raising some of our support. If you’d like to help us with the financial costs of living overseas as CAMA workers (http://www.camaservices.org/) you can do so by sending in a check to the Christian and Missionary Alliance at P.O. Box 35000Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500 and write “Bryon Butler support” in the memo section.

To give online please go to www.cmalliance.org and click “How to Get Involved” on the right of the home page. Next, click “Support the Mission” and then click “Donate Now” under “Support an International Worker” Type in Butler and type in the amount you’d like to give.

You can also give by credit card by calling the toll-free line at 866-443-8262.

Thank you for helping to make a difference in Jesus name.
Happy Spring!
Bryon and Christine Butler

Get Involved...

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
