Jeff and Rebecca Jo Ceria
Ceria Family Prayer Update - September 2008
We are long overdue to get a letter out to all of you!!! We finished our first year of language study in June and got through all 6 grammatical cases of the Russian language! What a feeling of relief and accomplishment! We still have a ton to learn, but this year should bring many loose ends together for us.
Our summer went by in a flash – but we got to spend 2.5 relaxing weeks in Norway on a visa renewal trip and stayed with some friends from Wheaton Grad School. When we returned we had the pleasure of welcoming our new teammates the Jordan family who just began language study 1 month ago. We also welcomed back to the Krasnodar team, the Lovell family from their year-long furlough in the States.
We found out in May that Rebecca Jo is pregnant. What great news! Then we found out in mid-August that she is carrying twins! What a double blessing! Because of the potential complications with delivering twins, we will be returning to the US in November, for a medical furlough. Please pray for healthy, full-term babies and mom!
A parsonage in Spencer, NY (Rebecca Jo’s hometown) has been offered to us for our time on medical furlough. We are so thankful for God’s provision of this house for us. We look forward to spending time with family, friends and church family while we wait for the twins to make their arrival. They are due mid to end January.
We have found a doctor here in Krasnodar who is seeing Rebecca Jo for prenatal visits. RJ is quickly learning that the medical system is much different from back home (no one has even weighed her yet!). Please pray that her care here would be good and would alert us if there are any red flags about her or the babies’ health. So far everyone looks strong and healthy!
prayer & Financial
Please pray for Jeff’s stepfather Dick who will be starting radiation treatments soon for cancer. He has been responding very well to the other treatments he has received so far. Please pray for complete healing and full recovery.
We were able to purchase a mini-van in May thanks to your generous gifts to our vehicle fund! We love you all and appreciate your prayers and gifts that enable us to live and serve here. Gifts to the GREAT COMMISSION FUND cover the daily living expenses of all CMA missionaries. Over the last several months, giving has significantly dropped, resulting in budget cuts. Please consider how God may want to use you to help bring the GCF back up.
All gifts are tax deductible and may be given online at www.cmalliance.org, click on "GIVE/ DONATE NOW" on the bottom of the page, then go to “Great Commission Fund” or send a check to The C&MA Box 35000 Colorado Springs , CO 80935- 3500.

Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.
Give.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.
Serve.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
