Brian and Michelle Davis

with grateful hearts...

Praise the Lord…we have met the match! We want to thank you for your generous outpouring of support for the vocational training center in Saint-Louis, Senegal. The foundation has been poured and first story walls are built. By the time we return to the field in June 2012, the building will be nearly completed. Be assured that the gifts you gave to this center will be transformed into a gift of HOPE in the lives of talibĂ© boys and young men. Hundreds of talibĂ© boys and young men will have the opportunity to receive much needed health services, life skills training, and the message of the gospel.

As a family, we are thankful for many things…new friends, fall leaves, the first snow, a wonderful home with beautiful views of sunrises and sailboats on the Hudson River, finances for the construction of the vocational training center, sleepovers at grandparents’ homes, and much more! But we are most thankful for the privilege to walk in relationship with God. We are growing in our understanding of God’s great love for each of us and we are learning to listen for God speaking to us. Karis recently asked Jesus to be her Savior at a Sure Fire (College of Prayer) Family Prayer Retreat. We are all excited for her to begin this journey, but Jacob was particularly touched as he had been praying for her salvation for several years.

And we thank God for you and your involvement in joining us in this journey. If you are not currently giving to the Great Commission Fund of the C&MA, we would love to have you partner with us. We are looking for additional financial partners. Our salary, travel, insurance, children’s education, housing and everything to keep us in Senegal costs $80,000 each year. Between partnering churches and individuals, as of October we have about 50% of our needed expenses for 2011. If you would like to partner with us in this way, please follow the link on the side or send a check to The Christian & Missionary Alliance, P.O. Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500. Make checks out to the “Christian & Missionary Alliance.” Write in the Memo line “Brian Davis Great Commission Fund” or “Brian Davis Work Fund” to support ongoing ministry expenses.

With love,
Brian & Michelle

Please pray with us...

... for healing in Michelle’s joints. She’s been experiencing stiffness and pain in her joints and has been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.

... for us as international workers in residence at Alliance Theological Seminary. We are teaching a couple classes and speaking into students lives this year as they pursue Him and their calling.

... for Senegalese followers of Jesus. Ask God to give them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so they may know him better. Pray that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which he has called them, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe (Eph. 1).

... for the Wolof people (most are in Senegal but many are in cities around the world, including perhaps 30,000 in NYC). Pray they may experience the love, truth, and power of Jesus to be drawn into relationship with him.
